Wow, what a great story! This is one of the best books that I've ever read! 

The quality of the writing itself was great, and the story was amazing. Throughout the whole book, you're playing a guessing game of who is the crazy stalker person, and the big reveal at the end can only be described as shocking!

This book had so many things that I loved in it...goth boys, a witch, phantom of the opera, a guy with his name spelled uniquely (justyn with a y) , a crazy stalker and crazier events that had me re reading whole pages over again because I could hardly believe it!

Here's my advice...give this book a try. It will introduce you to new things, it will make your heart race, and it will blow your mind.

This book is like a giant informal essay: it provides opinions and backs them up with facts. Which is a GOOD thing! It was interesting and kept me reading. I wanted to know more, I wanted to learn about what was happening in our society in regards to "the purity myth". I was impressed.
There were only a handful of times when I disagreed with the author, but Jessica Valenti is able to back up her ideas and I was able to understand where she was coming from. I really appreciate this book because it has helped me move past some of the shame surrounding my sexuality and sexual decisions, and I'm so happy that somebody is calling out abstinence-only "education" for what it really is; a tool to control people, especially women. 
I highly recommend this book to people who care at all about education, sexuality, and the future in general. 

Not only was this book well written, with elegant language and setting, but it was exciting, breathtaking, and original, too.
This story is about a cheerleader named Isobel, who is assigned to work with goth boy outcast Varen on an English project. Varen decides that they are going to research Edgar Allan Poe, his favorite author. As they spend more time together, both on the project, and for other reasons, such as her boyfriend trashing Varen's workplace, she not only begins to feel closer to him, but to notice strange things. People that others cannot see, voices that cannot be explained. 
It turns out that Varen has created a dream world through his notebook and his obsession with Edgar Allan Poe. It has taken over his life, and now Isobel has to find a way to save him from it. 
I finished this incredibly thick book in four days. I recommend this book for anyone craving something fresh, original, exciting, and romantic
